10 months old!

Dylan went for his 9 month check-up 2 days before he turned 10 months... he weighed 24lbs (86%) and was 31 1/4 inches tall (98%). He is crawling so fast. Cries by the front door to go outside, LOVES meat, I try to feed him fruits and vegetables first, but when he sees I have meat he will spit the fruit/veggie out and would get very impatient with me. He barely chews it... he has a 1/2 tooth... no other teeth in sight! When we go for a walk in the neighborhood he will start squealing when he sees the park... he loves to swing. He tries to do what his big brother does. He loves his brother's toys! He has very, very funny dance moves... and he knows it, so when he thinks he needs some attention he will start dancing... it makes us laugh every time! He is such a pleasant sweet little thing!

Parent commitment service

Today was a special day. It was our public commitment in church that we will rear Dylan in the wisdom and knowledge of our God. We are so blessed to have sweet Dylan. I pray that one day he will realize that he needs Jesus and invite Him in his heart. I pray that he will become what God wants him to be.
Lord, let salvation spring up within my children that they may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory. (Isaiah 45:8; 2 Tim 2:10)
It was also Dylan's 10 month birthday! Can't believe it! I know I say it every month... but really, I just CAN'T believe it.

Special thanks to my photographer... Jolinda Miller :)

MoRe SuMmEr FuN!

Part of our daily routine in the summer is to play outside after nap time. The boys can play for hours with water, especially with the hose (wish I had two, they fight over it) or in our little pool. And what is better to end the day with Popsicles before bath time!

Dylan wanted to taste McCade's popsicle...

First day of "school"!

McCade's first day of school went OK... he wasn't too happy about music class; because Ms. Tamra didn't go with him, and it was a different room. He told me " I cried". He also told me his teacher said he can't climb on the monkey bars... bummer! Thursday went so much better, he seemed really happy and when he talked about his day he smiled. I asked if he sang songs in music class, he said.. NO, I LISTENED :)

Great Wolf Lodge

We went for the weekend to the Great Wolf Lodge; and had so much fun! I was so nervous about it all week, because I wanted ALL of us to have fun. I prayed a lot, and I know a few friends prayed for us too :) Prayer works! It was so worth it. McCade had a blast, LOVED the slides, and I think Andy enjoyed it just as much. Little Dylan is such a good sport, he didn't get all the sleep he is used to, but was still smiling, even though he is cutting his first tooth. We will definitly do it again. I didn't take any photos... I didn't want to take the big camera and couldn't find the charger for our small camera.

Meet the teacher!

Today was meet the teacher day at Kids Kaleidoscope. I have been telling (warning) McCade all summer that he will go to "school" soon. He was such a big boy. He walked in; refused to hold my hand; and didn't even look back at me. I was gone for an hour for the parents' meeting, so when I went to get him, he was just sitting at the table... I had to tell him to get up! In the car I asked him if he likes his school, he told me..."I am smiling mommy!" I guess that says it all :) How wonderful, I hope tuesday will go just as well... the full 3 and 1/2 hours Dylan and I have for ourselves :)

Today was one of those days that I thought I should go back to work ... but when I look at these photos, I know with my whole heart I am doing the right thing staying with my two beautiful boys. I am so glad this day is over!
