Great Wolf Lodge

We went for the weekend to the Great Wolf Lodge; and had so much fun! I was so nervous about it all week, because I wanted ALL of us to have fun. I prayed a lot, and I know a few friends prayed for us too :) Prayer works! It was so worth it. McCade had a blast, LOVED the slides, and I think Andy enjoyed it just as much. Little Dylan is such a good sport, he didn't get all the sleep he is used to, but was still smiling, even though he is cutting his first tooth. We will definitly do it again. I didn't take any photos... I didn't want to take the big camera and couldn't find the charger for our small camera.

Meet the teacher!

Today was meet the teacher day at Kids Kaleidoscope. I have been telling (warning) McCade all summer that he will go to "school" soon. He was such a big boy. He walked in; refused to hold my hand; and didn't even look back at me. I was gone for an hour for the parents' meeting, so when I went to get him, he was just sitting at the table... I had to tell him to get up! In the car I asked him if he likes his school, he told me..."I am smiling mommy!" I guess that says it all :) How wonderful, I hope tuesday will go just as well... the full 3 and 1/2 hours Dylan and I have for ourselves :)

Today was one of those days that I thought I should go back to work ... but when I look at these photos, I know with my whole heart I am doing the right thing staying with my two beautiful boys. I am so glad this day is over!

Brotherly Love

It is really cute to see my two boys play. I love it when McCade tells Dylan "watch out buddy", or say "I love my brother", he also calls Dylan 'Dylaneey'. But believe me I have to constantly remind McCade about sharing his toys with his brother (especially now that Dylan crawls and is getting into everything); to be nice; to be gentle; to talk nice; etc.... But the sweet moments over shadow the not so sweet moments :) They do have fun together... for the most part.

McCade got a haircut!

So I decided the surfer look didn't work this year for McCade, even though I still love the idea. His hair wasn't curling like it used to be, and it was a BATTLE to brush his hair. So we cut off all those beautiful red hair. He is very proud of his new look. He even posed for the camera :) with his charming fake smile!!
McCade has been coming up with the funniest sayings, I keep telling myself to write it down, but I don't. He told his swimming lesson instructor on Thursday that he was "too tired, I didn't sleep good last night and cried all night in my bed".... she asked me about it; I could just laugh and shook my head... of course he slept all night... he was just looking for an excuse not to get his face wet :)
Also when he walks backwards he makes the beeping sound a garbage truck or dump trucks makes when it reverses; and when slips he says his breaks doesn't work. His favorite thing is to ask "what is this made of mommy?" like today he asked what the toilet was made of... yesterday he asked me what the trees were made of so I said leaves and wood, so he asked what wood is made of so I said (didn't know what to say) particles... he looked at me with a big frown and said " not paricles silly goosy". He is for sure a talker!! He definitly makes me use my brain a little more!

4th of July 2009

Watching the parade. The shirt I have on is a Jasper Walmart purchase... :)

Isn't Trey just the cutest little boy!

The 4th of July weekend was such a good weekend. Even though Dylan was recovering from an ear infection we still decided to go to Les and Rae's lake house. I didn't know if I should stay or go. But I was soooo ready to get out of the house, visit, and do something fun. So my decision was probably a little selfish. Dylan slept well.... after I figured out he hated his pack/play. So he slept on a mattress on the floor. I forgot (and Andy too) my bag, with all my and Dylan's stuff. I realized how little we really need... I did make a quick trip to Walmart and bought a few things. But all that stuff I packed... was so not needed. I was just a little disappointed that my boys didn't match on 4th July :) McCade had a blast. I think he enjoyed the trip the most! I am so thankful for family. I love you guys so much!
